Scams and reality checks
Wherever there's a new technology and a promise of easy money, scams follow. AI is no different. There are courses that promise a monthly income figure, 'done-for-you' AI businesses, fake trading bots, and channels that earn more from selling the dream than from the method they teach.
This section is protective only. It explains the warning signs, how to check a claim before you pay for anything, and which commonly promoted AI side hustles rarely work in practice. It doesn't explain how to run any of these schemes, and it doesn't name individuals.
A good rule of thumb: if someone's main product is teaching you how to make money, ask how they make theirs. If you've already lost money, contact your bank and report it to your local consumer protection or fraud authority.
Tickd is an independent resource. Nothing here is financial advice or a promise of income. Results vary widely and many people earn nothing. Do your own research.
