Higgsfield vs Midjourney for character consistency: Which actually keeps your hero on-model?

It also struggles with extreme action poses; asking a `--cref` character to do a backflip often results in their face distorting into a generic stranger's face.

How Higgsfield Handles It: True Video Character Locking

The Verdict: Which to Use?

If you are creating a graphic novel, a static webcomic, or high-fidelity concept art where every frame needs to look like a high-budget movie poster, Midjourney is still the king. The --cref parameter, while occasionally stubborn, provides enough consistency for static storytelling if you are willing to do some light inpainting.

If you are creating short-form social video, advertisements, or animated sequences where your character absolutely must move, run, turn around, and interact with the environment without looking like a shapeshifting alien, Higgsfield is the tool designed for the job.
