Higgsfield Stuck on Queue Error: How to Fix
Updated 10/7/2026
When generating AI videos with Higgsfield, a render can occasionally freeze, leaving your project stuck indefinitely with a "queued," "processing," or "rendering" status indicator. This behavior is typically caused by a desynchronization between your browser's persistent session state and Higgsfield's backend GPU clusters, or a silent timeout on their generation pipeline.
Use this step-by-step troubleshooting guide to identify whether the hang is local or server-side, clear stuck requests, and get your video generation working again.
Step 1: Inspect the Browser Console for WebSocket Failures Higgsfield uses real-time WebSockets (`wss://`) to send status updates (such as progress percentages) from their rendering engines to your web browser. If this connection drops, your video may actually be completed on the server, but your screen will show it as permanently stuck in the queue.
- Press F12 (or Cmd + Option + I on Mac) to open your browser's Developer Tools.
- Click on the Console tab.
- Look for red error messages. If you see repeated warnings like WebSocket connection to wss://... failed or Error during WebSocket handshake, your network or browser is blocking the updates.
- Click on the Network tab, select WS (WebSockets), and reload the page. If the socket connection shows a status of 101 Switching Protocols but immediately closes with a 1006 or 1011 error code, the server's message broker is temporarily overloaded. Proceed to Step 2.
Step 2: Force-Clear Local Storage and Session State A standard page reload often fails to fix a stuck queue because Higgsfield stores active generation tokens in your local browser cache. Clearing this forces the web app to query the backend database for the true status of your video job.
- In your browser's address bar, click the lock icon (or tune icon) directly to the left of the URL.
- Click on Site settings (or Cookies and site data > Manage on-device site data).
- Click Clear data or delete all cookies listed for higgsfield.ai.
- Alternatively, in Developer Tools, navigate to the Application tab (Chrome) or Storage tab (Firefox/Safari).
- Under the left menu, click Storage, then click the Clear site data button.
- Reload the page and sign back into your account. The interface will refresh, either displaying your completed video or clearing the broken, stuck slot.
Step 3: Run a Minimalist Generation Test Sometimes, complex combinations of aspect ratios, specific reference images, or lengthy prompt parameters trigger unhandled exceptions in Higgsfield's diffusion pipeline. This leaves the task "open" on the server without sending a failure response.
- Open a new project workspace.
- Keep all settings at their default values (do not upload reference images, do not use advanced motion sliders, and keep the video duration short).
- Enter a very simple text prompt, such as: A man walking in the park.
- Click generate.
- If this video completes rendering while your original project remains frozen, your initial project payload is corrupted or hit a processing limit. You must abandon that specific generation and re-create it with slightly altered prompt parameters.
Step 4: Disable Ad Blockers and Privacy Extensions Aggressive ad-blocking and tracking protection extensions can flag Higgsfield's rendering pings as suspicious analytical activity and block the script execution.
- Click the extension menu icon in your browser toolbar.
- Temporarily turn off extensions like uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, or AdBlock Plus for the Higgsfield website.
- If you use a built-in privacy browser like Brave, click the Brave Shield icon in the URL bar and toggle it to Down / Disabled.
- Try launching the site in an Incognito / Private Window where extensions are disabled by default. If the generation progresses normally, an extension configuration was causing the queue freeze.
Step 5: Switch Networks and Check VPN Protocols Some public Wi-Fi networks, corporate firewalls, and VPNs block long-polling connections or WebSockets entirely to conserve bandwidth. This will freeze Higgsfield's progress bar mid-generation.
- If you are using a VPN, disconnect from it completely or switch your protocol from UDP to TCP (TCP is more resilient to packet drops).
- If possible, temporarily connect your computer to a mobile hotspot to bypass local network firewalls.
- Clear your computer's DNS cache: Open Command Prompt (Windows) or Terminal (Mac) and type ipconfig /flushdns (Windows) or sudo dscacheutil -flushcache (Mac), then press Enter.
When to Escalate If you have completed the steps above and every generation continues to freeze at 0% or remain in the queue for more than 15 minutes, the issue is on Higgsfield's infrastructure side (such as an unannounced server outage or API node crash).
Because Higgsfield does not always maintain an automated public system status page, check their official community channels (such as their Discord server or X/Twitter support account) for reports of active system incidents. If the outages are widespread, wait for their engineering team to deploy a hotfix to clear the backend queues. If the problem persists solely on your account for over an hour, contact their support via your dashboard settings menu with details of your operating system, browser, and the stuck project ID.
