Midjourney Subscription Not Showing Up: How to Fix

Updated 10/1/2026

If you recently purchased a Midjourney subscription or upgraded your plan, but you are still getting errors like "Subscription required" or your account status shows you are on a free trial, you are experiencing a sync failure. This usually occurs when the payment platform (Stripe), the Midjourney web portal, and your Discord account fail to communicate properly.

Follow these step-by-step troubleshooting instructions to resolve the sync error and activate your paid features.

Step 1: Confirm Discord Account Match

The most common reason a subscription does not show up is that you purchased the subscription on a different Discord account than the one you are currently using. Many users accidentally create a second Discord account without realizing it.

  1. Log out of Midjourney.com.
  2. Log out of Discord on both your web browser and desktop app.
  3. Log back into the exact Discord account you used when you made the purchase.
  4. Go to Midjourney.com and click Sign In. Ensure the authorization prompt displays the correct Discord username and profile picture.
  5. Check the Account tab on the Midjourney website to see if your plan is active there. If it is active on the web but not in Discord, proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Use the `/info` Command to Force Sync

Sometimes, the Discord bot needs a manual trigger to fetch your updated subscription status from Midjourney's database.

  1. Open Discord and navigate to the official Midjourney server or your direct message channel with the Midjourney Bot.
  2. Type /info in the message input box and press Enter.
  3. This command forces the bot to query the database for your active profile. Read the output block that appears.
  4. Check the Subscription line in the bot’s response. If it lists your active plan (e.g., Basic, Standard, Pro), your account is synced. Try generating an image using /imagine to test it.

Step 3: Check Stripe Payment Status

If the /info command still shows no active subscription, your payment may be pending, flagged, or failed at the bank level.

  1. Go to [Midjourney.com/account](https://www.midjourney.com/account).
  2. Click on the Manage Subscriptions button.
  3. You will be redirected to the secure Stripe billing portal.
  4. Check the status of your invoice. If it says Pending or Failed, your bank may have blocked the transaction due to international processing limits.
  5. If the payment failed, update your card details or contact your bank to authorize charges from Midjourney. Once the charge clears, the subscription will auto-activate.

Step 4: Re-authorize Midjourney on Discord

If your payment is successful but the bot still does not recognize your credentials, your Discord authorization token might be corrupted.

  1. Open your Discord User Settings (the gear icon next to your username).
  2. Navigate to Authorized Apps in the left sidebar.
  3. Find Midjourney Bot in the list of authorized integrations and click Deauthorize.
  4. Go back to Midjourney.com and sign out.
  5. Log back into Midjourney.com. This will prompt a new Discord Authorization window. Click Authorize to re-establish a fresh, working token connection.

Step 5: Clear Browser and App Cache

If you are using the Midjourney web alpha/beta editor to generate images and it is not recognizing your upgrade, a cached browser session is likely the culprit.

  1. If on a browser: Press Ctrl + F5 (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + R (Mac) to perform a hard refresh.
  2. Clear your browser cookies and site data specifically for midjourney.com.
  3. If using the Discord desktop app: Close Discord completely. On Windows, press Ctrl + R while inside Discord to refresh the interface. On Mac, press Cmd + R.

When to escalate

If you have confirmed that the payment was successfully processed on Stripe, your Discord accounts match perfectly, and running the /info command still shows you as inactive, you need administrative intervention.

Do not attempt to purchase a second subscription to fix the issue, as this will result in duplicate charges. Instead, contact the support team:

  • Via Discord: Go to the official Midjourney Discord server and locate the #billing-support or #member-support channels. Submitting a request there connects you directly with community moderators and billing staff.
  • Via Email: Send a detailed support request to billing@midjourney.com. Include your Discord username, your numerical Discord User ID, the email address associated with your Stripe payment, and a screenshot of your invoice or payment confirmation.
