Midjourney Subscription Not Showing Active: How to Fix
Updated 10/13/2026
If you have just purchased a subscription or upgraded your plan, but Midjourney still prompts you to subscribe or claims you have no active hours, you are experiencing a account synchronization lag. This usually happens when there is a mismatch between the Discord account authorized on your browser and the one currently logged into your Discord app, or when Stripe payments are processing slower than usual.
Use this step-by-step troubleshooting guide to force Midjourney to sync your payment status and get your image generation running immediately.
1. Verify Your Account Status with `/info`
Before changing any settings, check what status the Midjourney bot actually registers for your Discord account. This rules out simple display bugs in your web interface.
- Open Discord and go to your Direct Messages with the Midjourney Bot, or open a server where the bot is active.
- In the text field, type /info and press Enter.
- Look at the output card. Check the Subscription line.
- If it says None or displays an old tier, your payment has not linked to this Discord User ID.
- Copy the User ID number shown at the bottom of the /info card. You will need to match this against your billing profile.
2. Check for Duplicate or Mislinked Accounts
The most common cause of an inactive subscription is paying under one Discord account while attempting to generate images on another. This frequently occurs if you use multiple Discord accounts or recently logged in via a different web browser session.
- Open an incognito browser window and go to [Midjourney.com/account](https://www.midjourney.com/account).
- Log in using the Discord credentials you used to make the payment.
- Look at the Discord username displayed in the bottom-left corner of your Midjourney dashboard.
- Compare this username and the numerical ID with the ID you copied from the /info command in Step 1. If they do not match, you purchased the subscription on a different account.
- If you have active duplicate accounts, you must log out of the incorrect account in Discord and sign in with the billing-authorized account.
3. Force Sync Your Discord OAuth Token
If the account IDs match but your status is still inactive, the authentication token between Discord and Midjourney needs a forced refresh.
- Go to [Midjourney.com](https://www.midjourney.com) and click Sign Out in the bottom-left profile menu.
- Open your Discord App, go to User Settings (the gear icon) > Authorized Apps.
- Find Midjourney in the list and click Deauthorize.
- Return to your browser, clear your browser cache, and go to [Midjourney.com/sign-in](https://www.midjourney.com/sign-in).
- Click Sign In. You will be redirected to Discord's authorization screen. Ensure the correct Discord username is listed on the authorization page before clicking Authorize.
- Once authorized, return to Discord, type /info again, and check if your active plan is now recognized.
4. Confirm Payment Processing Status on Stripe
If your accounts are perfectly aligned but the subscription is still missing, the payment may have failed or remains stuck in a "pending" status with your bank.
- Check your email inbox for a receipt from Stripe or Midjourney. If you did not receive a confirmation email with an invoice number, the payment did not clear.
- Log in to [Midjourney.com/account](https://www.midjourney.com/account).
- Click Manage Subscriptions. This opens your Stripe customer portal.
- Check the Billing History section. If the payment status shows as "Pending," "Failed," or "Incomplete," your bank may have blocked the charge.
- If the charge is flagged, you will need to update your payment method or contact your card issuer to authorize international payments to Midjourney.
When to Escalate
If your Stripe portal shows a completed "Paid" transaction, your accounts are verified to be matching, and /info still displays no active plan after 30 minutes, you need manual support intervention.
- Via Discord: Go to the official Midjourney Discord server and locate the #billing-support channel. Use the /billing command or tag a billing guide. Do not share your credit card information in public channels.
- Via Email: If you cannot access the Discord server, send an email to billing@midjourney.com. You must include your Discord Username, your Discord User ID (obtained via /info), and the Stripe charge ID or invoice number from your payment receipt to expedite manual account linking.
